In an ongoing effort to bring you the very best products and services, we’re excited to announce that we will be upgrading all of our US gateway clusters and US customer routers to our newest platform. We are deploying core software upgrades to customer routers and performing routine upgrades to our infrastructure. This will occur in several phases across multiple maintenance windows to minimize customer impact. The upgrades include software and performance optimizations, enhanced network reliability, and augmented infrastructure capacity.

Expected Impact:
- Each maintenance window will focus on specific gateway clusters and customer routers connected to those clusters. Customers may experience two events of service interruption lasting up to 5 minutes each for customer router upgrades during the window. Each customer site and the potential impact will be limited to a single window if the gateway cluster is part of multiple maintenance windows.
- Customers may also experience several brief periods of packet loss lasting up to 10 seconds each for infrastructure upgrades during the window.

If you're curious about the types of maintenance that we perform feel free to check out the Maintenance section of our SLA here: http://www.bigleaf.net/sla. If you have any questions or concerns about this upgrade process please let us know.
